Morning

• 8am – This is when we will pick you up from your hotel in Ipoh. It is good to start early so that you can explore the town before the midday heat sets in.
• Note: Since it is a long drive, we recommend that you have breakfast on your own before the drive.
• 9.30am – First stop, the majestic Tua Pek Kong Temple with its seafront location (it faces the Malacca Strait). If it is a Sunday, this location will be swapped with Mr. Honey Bees Farm.
• 10.30am – Admire the colorful murals along Lorong Budaya Setia Kawan while learning some culture and history of the town.
• 11.30am – Join the queue for the famous Sitiawan Cheong Cia Gong Pian (Closed on Sundays)

Afternoon

• 12pm – For air-conditioned options, we recommend YIHO Bakehouse or Moh Kee Coffee House for lunch.
• 1pm – Learn all there is to know about the Foochow community and their influence on the town at Sitiawan Settlement Museum (air-conditioned)
• 2.30pm – Get some cool dessert at the on-site museum café, Two Good Elephants Café (only opened on weekends)
• 3.30pm – Learn about bees at Mr. Honey Bees Farm (honey harvesting is only on Sundays)
• 4pm – Head back to Ipoh
• 5.30pm – Drop off at your hotel in Ipoh

Highly recommended! Mr Chow Ah Kheong was our driver for our Ipoh trip, and he was very kind and attentive throughout. We hired Hilly Travels and driver Ah Kheong from Ipoh for a private full day, primarily to take us to Orangutan Island. The Island trip was fabulous. The driver also took us to various other sites of our chosing, inc charcoal factory and mushroom farm, plus took us to the best spots for lunch and then banana fritters. Hilly Travels and driver were very accommodating and communicated well. The vehicle was most comfortable. Our guide Teh was great. Super polite, great at driving, we felt very safe. His English was great and he knew a lot about the local area and history and was happy to answer all our questions. He came with us unto the Caves and Temples and told us all about them.

Our group of 4 seniors were well taken care of by our excellent driver cum guide, Ah Kheong. He is such a top rate guide who goes out of the way to show us the best places to eat and sight see. He is courteous  and a careful driver.
I would definitely recommend Hilly Travels and Ah Kheong to my friends. Janice who assisted me thru the bookings is also an excellent person. Very clear instructions throughout the bookings of the trip. She also went the extra mile to help us book in a advance the museums and purchase of some snacks.

My family of 4 booked two customised tours to Ipoh in Jul 26. Mr Teh was an excellent tour guide cum driver. He was also a good photographer. We were very appreciative of his service and care during the two days.

We booked the service from 20 to 21 July for Ipoh and Cameron Highland. Had a great experience with this tour service. Our guide Ah Keong was friendly, patient, and engaging throughout the trip.
